Colima Standing Male Figure, ca. 100 B.C. – 250 A.D.
A finely modelled Colima standing male figure, shown upright with outstretched arms and tapering legs. The figure features characteristic elongated facial traits, including a prominent nose, closed eyes, and a subtle mouth. He wears a wrapped headdress and a solid necklace across the chest. The surface shows mineral deposits and archaeological patination throughout, with traces of the original reddish slip still visible. A small loss to the tip of the nose is consistent with the age and burial conditions of such figures.
Height: 17 cm
Width: 9 cm
Provenance: Private Nevada collection; ex. Dr. David Harner collection, Arkansas, 1950’s–1960’s.
