Colima Standing Male Figure, ca. 100 B.C.–250 A.D.
Finely modelled standing male figure from the Colima culture of West Mexico, depicted nude with slightly bent arms, elongated limbs, and characteristic stylised facial features. The figure wears a plaited headdress, ear ornaments, and a knotted necklace, all rendered in bold, sculptural forms. The surface shows scattered mineral deposits and gentle abrasion from burial, lending the piece an appealing, ancient texture. A clean re-attachment at the waist is visible, a stable and unobtrusive restoration consistent with authentic Pre-Columbian ceramic preservation.
Height: 18.5 cm
Width: 10 cm
Condition: Re-attached across waist; otherwise intact with surface encrustations and wear consistent with age.
Provenance: Private Nevada collection; ex Dr. David Harner collection, Arkansas, 1950s–1960s.
