Finely modelled standing figure from the Jalisco culture of West Mexico, characterised by the region’s distinctive reddish slip and boldly exaggerated facial features. The figure displays prominent ear ornaments, a high turban-like headdress, and patterned white painted garments still faintly visible on the legs and headdress. The expressive face and animated posture are typical of Jalisco artistry during the Late Formative to Early Classic period.
